Four decades of
bespoke service
Bergins Property Consultants was founded in 1984 by Denis and Geraldine Bergin — two of the most respected names in Irish property. What began as a vision for a different kind of estate agency has become, over four decades, one of South Dublin's most enduring and trusted names in residential property.
We have never sought to be the largest. From the beginning, our philosophy has been singular: to offer every client the quality of counsel and personalised attention that a truly bespoke practice demands. That philosophy has not changed. It is the reason our clients return to us — and the reason they send us their families and friends.
Today, under the leadership of Managing Director Nicola Bergin Williams, Bergins continues to evolve — expanding its acquisitions business, building international partnerships, and welcoming a new generation of talent — while remaining true to the values Denis and Geraldine instilled in 1984.
THE FOUNDERS
Denis & Geraldine Bergin
1984
Denis Bergin's career in the Irish property industry began in 1960 at Smith Griffin, and later at Osborne King and Megran. In 1972, he became a founding partner of Fitzgerald and Partners, overseeing their subsequent merger with Sherry and Sons.
Geraldine, who joined Osborne King and Megran in 1969, became one of the earliest and most accomplished providers of premium lettings services in Dublin — her records for sales of large private family homes remained unbeaten for many years.
Together, they launched Bergins in 1984 with a simple ambition: to deliver a tailored, individual service to an extensive and discerning client list. Denis retired in 2021 with over 60 years of experience in Irish property. Both he and Geraldine are now enjoying a well-deserved retirement, having celebrated the 40th anniversary of the firm they built together.

Nicola Bergin Williams

Nicola joined the family firm in 2005 as Managing Director. She works extensively across Sales and Lettings and has continued to expand Bergins' Acquisitions business — achieving significant results both on-market and off, in Dublin's most desirable addresses. Nicola has recently been appointed as Director to IPAV Counsel
Sara Bergin

Sara is a Director and family member of the Bergins team. Working in the firm since 1998, she is responsible for managing both the Sales and Rentals Division — under her leadership, both divisions have expanded significantly across the suburban Dublin market.
Gemma McDermott
HEAD OF RESIDENTIAL SALES & LETTINGS
Gemma has become an integral part of both the Sales and Lettings Divisions. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for continued education make her a key member of both busy and demanding teams.
Siobhan Farrell
SENIOR ACCOUNTS MANAGER
Siobhan assisted in the very earliest days of Bergins alongside founders Denis and Geraldine. Her expertise in cost control, financial administration, and her meticulous attention to detail make her an irreplaceable cornerstone of the firm.
Daragh Holohan
HEAD OF OPERATIONS • PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
Daragh leads Bergins' Property Management Division, with responsibility for all repairs, maintenance, and special projects. Since joining in 2020, he has become a trusted and valued figure for both our landlords and tenants across our extensive management portfolio.
Nikita Woods
RESIDENTIAL COORDINATOR
Nikita joined our team in 2023 and is the welcoming face of Bergins' Mespil Road office. She works closely with all agents to ensure every client receives the highest quality of service, and provides essential administrative support across the team.
