About Bergins Property Consultants Founders
Denis and Geraldine Bergin.
Denis’s career in the Irish property industry began in Smith Griffin, in 1960, later at Osborne King and Megran. Geraldine joined OKM in 1969 and she and Denis married in 1972. In the same year, Denis became a founding partner of Fitzgerald and Partners, overseeing their subsequent merger with Sherry and Sons. In 1984 he and Geraldine launched Bergins as a bespoke Estate Agency, delivering a tailored and individual service to an extensive client list. Denis retired in 2021 with over 60 years of experience in the Irish Property market, much of this in both Residential and Commercial as well as Rural sectors, both in Ireland and Internationally. During his time in Bergins he provided a wide ranging Property Consultancy service upon request and was honoured this year as the outgoing Company Secretary of the Irish Timber Growers Association, (ITGA). Denis remains an elected member of the RDS Committee of Agriculture and Rural Affairs which aims to promote best practice and efficiency in farming to ensure farm household profitability and sustainability in Ireland.
Geraldine was an early provider of Letting services in Dublin, principally in the high end sector, and her many records in sales of large private family homes remained unbeaten for many years.
Geraldine is currently enjoying her retirement with Denis, travelling and spending time with their eight grandchildren and both enjoyed celebrating the 40 th Anniversary of the founding of their company in 1984.
